Sudbury man charged after police recover stolen goods, seize cocaine

The Greater Sudbury Police Service’s Break Enter and Robbery Unit (BEAR) recovered quite a haul following an investigation into recent theft-related incidents, where officers ‘clawed back’ a significant amount of stolen property on June 18.

“Detectives from the Integrated Crime Section executed a search warrant at an address in Val Caron where they seized a dirt bike, two ATVs and approximately 129 grams of cocaine,” police said in a news release.

Police estimate the street value of the drugs seized at $12,900.

As a result, a 41-year-old Greater Sudbury man has been charged with three counts of possession of stolen property and a drug trafficking offence.

The man appeared at a bail hearing on June 19.
