Building evacuated in northeast Calgary over fears of possible gas leak

A Canada Post building in the northeast was evacuated Friday morning due to a possible gas leak.

A northeast building was evacuated Friday morning because of a possible gas leak.

Emergency crews were called to the Canada Post outlet on Sunridge Boulevard N.E. just after 8 a.m.

The fire department hazmat team was part of the response. ATCO also arrived at the scene.

It took officials about 20 minutes to vent the building before people were allowed back inside.
