Person shot dead in Kamloops, B.C.: RCMP

Mounties are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in Kamloops, B.C., on Tuesday.

Police released very little information about the incident in a statement Tuesday, other than that the homicide occurred sometime early in the morning in the 200 block of Columbia Street, and it appeared targeted.

“No additional details are being released at this time, as police continue to investigate and communicate with the victim’s family,” the statement reads.

Police asked anyone with information or video from the 200 block of Columbia Street between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Tuesday to call the Kamloops RCMP detachment at 250-828-3000.
