Stolen vehicle crashed into hydro pole

The Guelph Police Service is trying to figure out who was behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle was it was crashed into a hydro pole.

Officers were patrolling in the Victoria Road South area near Stone Road West when they saw a 2025 Honda CRV that had veered off the road and hit a hydro pole, causing extensive damage.

No one was inside the vehicle at the time.

When police reached out to the owner, she said the vehicle had been in the parking lot of her east-end home when she went to bed around 10 p.m. Police believe the crash happened between 2:50 a.m. and 4:10 a.m.
