Suspect in custody after weekend stabbing in north London home

A London man is in custody after a stabbing in the north end of the city over the weekend, according to police.

On Saturday around 4 a.m., police said a group of people who knew each other were inside a home in the area of Tokala Trail and Wateroak Drive when an argument started. The owner asked everyone to leave the home.

According to police, while the occupants were exiting the home, the owner was stabbed by another man.

The victim was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was found and arrested nearby. A 20 year old London man has been charged with aggravated assault.

The accused had a court appearance on Tuesday in relation to the charge, and was released from custody with another court appearance on Aug. 18.
