Medicine Hat roars back in Prince Albert, gaining weekend split against Raiders in WHL playoff action

The Medicine Hat Tigers rebounded from a series-opening loss to defeat the Prince Albert Raiders 5-0 Saturday night.

The Tigers got a first-period goal from Noah Davidson and a second-period goal from Liam Ruck to hold a 2-0 lead heading into the third.

Medicine Hat didn’t ease up in the third, getting goals from Marcus Ruck, Jonas Woo and Niilopekka Muhonen to cruise to victory.

Jordan Switzer stopped 30 shots in goal for the Tigers to pick up the shutout. Switzer was named the game’s first star.

The win, in front of 3,299 fans at the Art Hauser Centre in Prince Alberta, gave the Tigers a split in the first two games of their Eastern Conference Final series against the Raiders.

Games 3 and 4 are Tuesday and Wednesday night in Medicine Hat.
