Search for man missing from Hillsborough Hospital ongoing: Charlottetown police

Charlottetown police are asking the public for help in locating 53-year-old Robert Dwayne Kelly, who has been missing from Hillsborough Hospital since early May.

Kelly was last seen on May 6 around 1:30 p.m. on Church Street in Cornwall, P.E.I., while on an escorted leave from the hospital, according to a police news release.

“He left the area unnoticed by hospital staff and has not been seen since,” reads the release. “The investigation remains ongoing as police are concerned about his well-being and are actively working to locate him.”

Kelly is described as five-foot-seven and 155 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, grey pants and beige shoes.

Police say his appearance may have changed since his photo was taken.

A warrant of committal has been issued for his return. Police say there’s no indication he intends to harm anyone or himself but urge anyone who sees him not to approach him.
