Man taken to hospital after weapons complaint outside Truro, N.S.

A man is in hospital after a weapons complaint outside Truro, N.S., Tuesday afternoon.

There was a large police presence near a home in the 1000 block of Baseline Road in Folly Mountain around 4 p.m.

The RCMP says officers found two men in a wooded area near the home.

One of the men had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by EHS.

The other man did not report any injuries.

Police say the two men were involved in an altercation with a third man who fled the area before officers arrived.

The men are reportedly known to each another and police believe it was a targeted incident.

Police say their investigation is in the preliminary stages and is ongoing.

There is no word on possible charges or if police are looking for the third man.
