Two in critical condition following head-on crash: Manitoba RCMP

Five people were injured, two of them critically, following a head-on crash on a Manitoba highway Friday night.

According to RCMP, officers from the Headingley detachment responded to the crash on Highway 3, just south of Sanford, at 9:30 p.m.

Investigators say a vehicle heading north on the highway was swerving all over the road, and the driver collided with a vehicle heading south.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 52-year-old man, was treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The driver’s daughters, both 14 years old, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and remain in hospital.

The driver of the vehicle heading north, a 25-year-old man from St. Adolphe, and his 19-year-old male passenger were both taken to hospital in critical condition, where they remain as of Monday.

The crash remains under investigation.
