One arrested, more wanted after cyclist shot with airsoft gun: WPS

Windsor police have released footage of a Windsor cyclist being shot with an airsoft gun.

One person has been arrested, and more are wanted after a cyclist was shot with an airsoft gun, according to Windsor police.

On June 24, police received a report of an assault. They said a cyclist was riding his bike near Wyandotte Street West and Crawford Avenue around 4:45 p.m., when he was shot multiple times with an airsoft rifle.

Officers said the shots came from a stolen 2025 Toyota RAV4.

No physical injuries were sustained.

Just after 11 p.m. the same day, the Windsor Police Service found the stolen vehicle in the 900 block of Church Street. The driver was then arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The other suspects involved in the assault are still wanted.

Anyone who lives in the area or has dashcam footage in the area around 4:45 p.m. is asked to review their cameras and report anything suspicious to police.
