$157K in cocaine seized in Brantford

Brantford Police are sharing details of a big drug bust in the city.

They began a trafficking investigation in May.

Then, on July 3, search warrants were carried out on a suspect’s vehicle and a home on Lombard Street.

Police said they seized approximately 1,579 grams of cocaine, multiple cellphones, drug packaging materials, a digital scale and cash.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $157,910.

A 52-year-old man from Brantford was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
