Peel police say officer, suspect injured after criminal investigation in Etobicoke

Peel police say an officer was injured during an investigation in Etobicoke on Monday morning.

Peel Regional Police say one officer and one suspect have been injured following a police investigation in North Etobicoke early Monday morning.

Peel police said the incident began in Peel Region and officers later responded to the area of Humberline Drive and Finch Avenue West in the City of Toronto at around 3:20 a.m. “in relation to a criminal investigation.”

Two suspects were arrested and multiple suspects fled the scene on foot, police said.

“During the interaction one officer and one suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by paramedics,” Peel police said in an email to CP24.

The investigation is “very active and ongoing,” police said.
