Pedestrian dead after being struck by driver in North York parking lot

A female pedestrian is dead after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in a parking lot in North York on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred near Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue at around 10:40 a.m., police said in a social media post.

No public roads are closed and the vehicle involved stayed on scene, investigators say.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
