Police say man seriously injured in North York stabbing after ‘family dispute’

A man has been hospitalized following the arrest of a female suspect in a stabbing investigation near Jane and Sheppard.

One person was seriously injured after a stabbing inside a North York residence late Sunday night.

It happened in the vicinity of Sheppard Avenue and Jane Street at around 11:35 p.m.

The male victim was taken to hospital in serious but non-life threatening condition, paramedics say.

A female was arrested at the scene.

It is not clear what charges, if any, they are facing.

Police say that the incident resulted from a family dispute.
