The major crime unit of the Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating the discovery of a dead body May 23 in the Thunder Centre area.

There is no threat to public safety, police said in a news release.

“A separate investigation, which was reported yesterday regarding a police presence in the same area, is ongoing,” the release said.

“A visible police presence continues and members of the public are asked to avoid the area. No further information is available at this time.”
