72-year-old Thunder Bay motorcyclist dies in Little Current crash

OPP say a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 in Little Current claimed the life of a 72-year-old motorcyclist from Thunder Bay.

“OPP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle pulling a trailer on Highway 6 near White’s Point Road in the Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands Township,” police said in a release Wednesday.

“A 72-year-old male from Thunder Bay was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.”

Police said Highway 6 between Green Bush Road and Morphet’s Side Road is expected to remain closed for several hours as the investigation continues with assistance from the OPP technical collision investigators and reconstructionist.
