Canadiens add third big screen for Habs playoff outdoor viewing parties, ask fans to behave

With hundreds of fans donning bleu-blanc-rouge sweaters pouring into Montreal’s downtown core during Habs playoff games, the Canadiens announced that they are adding a third screen and asking fans to behave.

For every playoff game, big screens have been set up for the games outside the Bell Centre on Canadiens-de-Montreal Avenue for free viewing parties for those unable to afford the steep prices to see the game in the arena.

“We’ve added a third screen outsdie the Bell Centre to accomodate the incredible demand we’ve seen for our outdoor viewing parties on home game days so far,” the team said.

Multiple games have ended with fans lighting off fireworks or smoke bombs.

“For the safety and secuirty of all, please be advised that the posession and use of fireworks, pyrotechnics and flares/smoke bombs is prohibited in public spaces,” the team said.

Tickets for Sunday’s Game 3, 28 hours before puck drop, start at just under $400 for touch the ceiling nosebleeds and go as high as $4,800 for smell the sweat ice level.
