One charged in Brant County intimate partner violence investigation

Officers with Brant County OPP arrested and charged a person following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Police responded to a home in the County of Brant on Tuesday morning around 9:30, for a report of harassment.

Following the investigation, police arrested and charged a 41-year-old Brant County resident.

The individual were charged with sexual assault, two counts of criminal harassment and unlawfully in a dwelling house.

Anyone with relevant information regarding the investigation is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Officials are also reminding people that support is available for anyone experiencing intimate partner violence by contacting the Assaulted Women’s Helpline or local police.
