Thursday’s zone high school track-and-field championships feature 1,000 athletes

More than 1,000 athletes are competing Thursday in this year’s high school track-and-field finals.

The 2026 Metro Edmonton High School Track and Field Championships are being staged at Foote Field, adjacent to the Saville Community Sports Centre on the University of Alberta’s south campus.

Athletes representing 56 area schools are competing in more than 20 events across several categories and age groups.

Live results are available online, and via mobile Apple and Android apps.

Top finishers will qualify for the provincial track-and-field championships June 6-7 at Calgary’s Foothills Athletic Park.
