Calgary motorcyclist hospitalized after collision with semi in southeast

One person was seriously injured in a crash between a motorcycle and a semi-truck on Tuesday.

The collision happened in the intersection of 61 Avenue and 68 Street S.E. just before 2:30 p.m.

Police say the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene and wasn’t injured.

“Please avoid the area and use an alternative route,” police said in a statement.
