Pedestrian killed in crash with motorcycle in Kawartha Lakes

A pedestrian is dead following a crash with a motorcycle Thursday night in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Police say emergency crews were called to North Mountain Road in Bexley Township around 8:27 p.m.

According to investigators, a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on the road. Police say the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Mountain Road was closed between Doyle Road and County Road 41 for several hours while collision reconstruction officers documented the scene and gathered evidence.

Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
