Barrie stabbing sends man to hospital Friday

A man, 42, has been transported to the hospital following a stabbing in Barrie that police believe was an isolated incident.

Barrie police say they were called to the Owen Street and Grove Street intersection just before midnight on Friday.

Officers arrested and charged a 23-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man.

Police say the man who was stabbed and the two accused live in the area and had an interaction prior to the assault.

Investigators are not looking for any more suspects in connection with the incident.

Authorities say this is all the information they have at this time.
