As Winnipeggers enjoy the warm weather, the rising temperatures have brought on the return of an old foe – potholes.
With temperatures rising during the day and dropping at night, more and more craters are popping up around the city as freeze-thaw cycles cause potholes to form.
The City of Winnipeg said since Friday it has had eight crews out every day – five daytime and three nighttime -- to repair potholes using temporary patches. Once the weather improves and conditions dry up, crews will make long-term fixes, including hot asphalt repairs.
If you spot a pothole that needs to be fixed, you can report it to the city through 311 or by filling out an online form.
