Manitoba RCMP has identified 11 more victims in a financial crime investigation that saw 20 people lose more than $700,000 to a pool manufacturer.

In November 2024, police released information on the arrest of Kurt Wittin, who had been under investigation for numerous fraud complaints involving his company Seventeen Pools Inc since 2023. Police allege customers from across Canada and the United States sent payments for products they didn’t receive.

At the time, Wittin was charged with nine counts of fraud greater than $5,000.

Since then, Mounties have identified several more victims, bringing the total to 20. On Monday, Wittin was charged with 11 additional counts of fraud over $5,000.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Police note the victims’ financial losses total more than $700,000.

If you are a victim and wish to report it, you can contact your local RCMP detachment.

Police continue to investigate.
