Mounties say they’re investigating after a missing 19-year-old man was found dead.
Selkirk RCMP say Kristopher Sandy was last seen leaving his home around 10 p.m. Thursday to go for a drive in the RM of St. Clements.
According to police, Sandy’s car was found in a ditch off Highway 12 just before 7 a.m. Friday morning. When emergency crews arrived on scene, they said the driver was nowhere to be found.
The 19-year-old was declared missing Friday afternoon.
On Saturday, RCMP said Sandy was found dead within a one-mile radius of his car. Mounties wouldn’t say whether there were any injuries found on his body. The cause is under investigation.
