Libraries across the city have spring break programming for kids and teens.

The city publishes a Priceless Fun brochure breaking down community centre activities by neighbourhood.

City indoor pools also offer free swim times.

Winnipeggers cans also visit a city park with a playground or walking trails.

The Living Prairie Museum Interpretive Centre is open for drop ins from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for spring break. The outdoor nature trails are also open every day.

Manitoba Museum

Despite being under constriction, Spring Break at the Manitoba Museum runs March 29 to April 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The museum has a new show playing at the Planetarium titled Voyage of the Stars. It follows two starfish as they explore life underwater and its connection to outer space. The daily show schedule also features Edge of Darkness, with footage of rarely seen places captured by key space missions.

Families can also do the Five Sense Explorer Trail in the Museum Galleries. Pop-up activities are also planned throughout the week.

The museum’s Science Gallery is also open.

Admission fees apply.

Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum has a line-up of activities happening everyday from Saturday, March 29 to Sunday, April 6, 2025. Special guests, crafts and activities run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.

Assiniboine Park Zoo

Spring Break at the Zoo also has a week full of activities for animal lovers. Each day starts with a Zoo Chat about different zoo animals. There are also appearances by Winston the Polar Bear, tours and cookie decorating.

Programs are free with admission.

Scavenger hunts, story times, learning about butterflies and other pollinators are on deck at The Leaf over spring break.

Programs are free with admission.

Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Admission is free at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights all spring break long for kids 12 and under. On Sunday March 29 and April 6, everyone gets in free.

Free, family-friendly activities and performances are happening Tuesday though Saturday.

If you want to take a trip to Brandon, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is on for the 55th year.

The event celebrating western Canadian agriculture is a spring break institution.

It runs from March 31 to April 5.

Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada

If you have an aspiring astronaut in the family, the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada has you covered. All events are space themed.

Regular museum admission rates apply.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People

Manitoba Theatre for Young People’s production of “The Gruffalo’s Child” has four showtimes during spring break. There are two performances on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. The early show is at 1:00 p.m. and the late show is 4:00 p.m.
