Colleen Bready has your current conditions and updated weather forecast for March 5, 2025.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures return to southern Manitoba on Wednesday.

Most regions will see a mix of sun and clouds or clearing conditions Wednesday afternoon as daytime highs rebound near the freezing mark after a cooler and windier day on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a low over northern Saskatchewan will spread snow across northern Manitoba on Wednesday afternoon. Forecast snowfall amounts are in the vicinity of two to four centimetres, while Thompson could see as much as five centimetres of snow.

Snow should end before Wednesday evening in the northwest, then gradually taper off throughout the rest of the night in areas further east.

Temperatures across the north are also very mild for this time of year.

As the low passes to the north, Winnipeg and southeast could be grazed by a few flurries overnight into Thursday morning.

In the wake of the low, daytime highs in the south will remain below freezing on Thursday and Friday, but much closer to normal for early March.

A big warm-up is on the way just time for the weekend, with daytime highs soaring well above the freezing mark.

No significant weather is expected over the next few days in the south, while more snow is possible in the north.
