Two suspects have been charged by the Windsor Police Service in connection to a vehicle theft.
On Tuesday, police were called with a report of a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street East. Officers said they learned two men went into a business, took an employee’s purse, then used the keys to steal the vehicle from the parking lot.
Upon reviewing the video footage of the incident, the suspects were identified.
On Thursday around noon, officers found a 34-year-old suspect in the 34-year-old at a home in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue.
Just after 9 a.m. the next day, officers arrested a 40-year-old man in the area of Ouellette Avenue and Elliott Street.
Both suspects now face charges of theft of a motor vehicle and theft under $5,000.
The vehicle was recovered in the 800 block of Bruce Avenue and was returned to the owner.
