Despite a season-high 39 saves by netminder Joey Costanzo, the Windsor Spitfires lost 4-1 to the Barrie Colts on Saturday evening.

The Spits found themselves trailing on the road after the Colts scored with a minute left in the first period.

However, less than two minutes into the second frame, forward Luke McNamara banged home the rebound after an Ethan Belchetz shot to tie the game.

The Colts would pull away with two more goals before finding the empty net to sink Windsor.

The Spitfires were outshot 43 to 29 and only managed to put the puck on net five times in the third period.

With the loss, Windsor is 31-9-2-1 on the season, which is good enough for second place in the OHL.

Windsor will look to get back in the win column Sunday evening when they travel into Oshawa to play the Generals. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
