Showers in the forecast as Windsor-Essex sees milder temperatures into the weekend

While temperatures may trend above seasonal norms over the next few days, Windsor-Essex residents are advised to keep rain gear handy, particularly through Friday and again late in the weekend as unsettled conditions continue.

Today, skies will be mainly cloudy, with a 30 per cent chance of showers developing late this afternoon. The daytime high is expected to reach 9 C.

Conditions will improve slightly tonight, becoming partly cloudy. There remains a 30 per cent chance of showers early in the evening, before precipitation tapers off, and temperatures will dip to a low of plus 2.

On Friday, cloud cover will persist, along with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the morning and early afternoon. Winds are expected to ease into the afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a high of 15 C.

The weekend begins on a warmer note, Saturday is expected to see clearing skies, with a spring-like high of 18 C. However, Saturday night will bring cloudy periods and a 30 per cent chance of showers, with temperatures falling to a low of 7 C.

By Sunday, cloudier conditions return, along with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Daytime highs will cool significantly, reaching only 7 C.
