As of March 11, 2025, over 98.4 per cent of students in Windsor and Essex County meet immunization requirements.

The remaining 1.6 per cent of students are either overdue for vaccines required to attend school, or the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) has not received updated immunization records.

WECHU is offering walk-in immunization services in Windsor and Leamington for students over the March Break.

A school suspension has been in effect for some elementary students since March 3. There are currently 203 elementary students that are excluded from school due to incomplete immunization records.

Additionally, there are 861 secondary students at risk of suspension. The deadline for these students to submit their immunization records is this Thursday, March 13. Students who do not submit proof of vaccination will be suspended starting March 17.
