Lancers open strong at national track and field championships

Thursday was day one of the U-Sports National Track and Field Championships at the University of Windsor, and it was a big open for the Lancers.

On the last throw of the competition Jordana Badley-Costello popped a throw of 19.45 meters to win the women’s weight throw competition.

That set the women’s team up with 11 points as the competition ramps up tonight through Saturday.

With one year of eligibility left Badley-Costello returned to school and track and field after four years in the workforce.
