A man and a woman were sent to hospital with stab wounds after a knife fight erupted Friday afternoon in Delta, B.C.
Police were called to a report of a bleeding woman in the street in the 11500 block of 81A Avenue around 4 p.m., the Delta Police Department said in a statement Saturday morning.
Officers arrived to find a 34-year-old woman with stab wounds. A 37-year-old man with a knife wound was also located, in the basement suite of a nearby home.
The woman is in stable condition, while the man has been released from hospital and is in police custody, said the statement. Charges have not yet been sworn.
The man and the woman, both from Delta, were known to each other, said police.
Police officers will remain at the home for “some time” while the investigation continues, the statement said.
