A portion of Vancouver’s Stanley Park seawall has been closed due to heavy rain.

The stretch of the popular walking and biking path between Third Beach and the Lions Gate Bridge is temporarily closed to the public until “further notice,” a brief statement from the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation said Saturday afternoon.

“Please follow any signage in the area,” the statement advised.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, an ongoing storm could see parts of Metro Vancouver drenched with up to 120 millimetres of rainfall before it is set to roll out Monday afternoon.
