Motorists driving through Langley, B.C., are being advised to factor in road closures on 72 Avenue, following a gas leak in the area Tuesday afternoon.
Around 11:35 a.m. Mounties were called to a report of a gas leak in the 20400 block of 72 Avenue, Langley RCMP said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
“Our officers are currently blocking several intersections in the area along 208 Street and 203 Street on 72nd Avenue, assisting the Township of Langley Fire Department,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom.
Residents are being evacuated, and there have been no reported injuries, said Sharoom.
The cause of the leak is still being investigated.
