Highway 427 off-ramp to Rutherford Road closed after overnight crash in Vaughan

One person has been rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Vaughan along Highway 427.

Ontario provincial police say the northbound Highway 427 off-ramp connecting to Rutherford Road was shut down after a passenger vehicle crashed in the area.

It remains unclear what led up to the incident.

Police say one person was transported to hospital but did not reveal the extent of their injuries.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

In an update posted shortly after 7 a.m., police confirmed roads remained closed in the area.
