Toddler killed in fall from Toronto apartment building

A toddler is dead after falling from a highrise in North York. CP24’s Andrew Brennan has the latest from the scene.

A young child has died after falling from an apartment building in Toronto on Sunday afternoon, police say.

The incident happened in North York, near Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive, just south of Highway 401.

Toronto police said they were called to that area around 12:20 p.m. for reports of a toddler who had fallen from a high—rise apartment.

Police said a toddler has been pronounced deceased.

“This investigation is still ongoing and in the early stages,” a media officer later told CP24.

“We do not have any further information to share at this time.”

Police are not confirming at this time which the floor the child fell from.

They are also not providing any further information on them at this time.
