No service on Finch West LRT since 8 a.m., delays of up to 20 minutes on Eglinton line

Service on the entire Line 6 Finch West LRT remains suspended, while there are delays of up to 20 minutes on Line 5 Eglinton LRT.

The TTC says no light rail vehicles have been running between Finch West Station and Humber College Station since 8 a.m. due to a “communication issue.”

Shuttle buses are operating.

As of 5:04 p.m., service has not yet been restored as maintainers continue to work to resolve the problem, the TTC said in a post on X.

Line 5 Eglinton LRT is also seeing delays between Mount Dennis and Kennedy stations while the maintainer fixes a track problem.

In a statement to CTV News, a TTC spokesperson said that they are advised by Metrolinx that “their maintainers are still investigating both issues.”

It is unclear if the issue is related to the heat wave in Toronto.

GO Transit has said its trains are running slower due to the hot conditions, resulting in delays.
