Ben Cousins joined BNN Bloomberg’s digital team as a Journalist in June 2023, where he’s part of team’s daily business news coverage. Based in Toronto, he can be found writing stories related to the Canadian business landscape, including company news, retail, real estate, stocks of note and the economy.
As a student at the University of King’s College in Halifax, Ben won the Newzulu Student Award for Photojournalism at the 2014 Atlantic Journalism Awards, and later enrolled in the Canadian military journalism course at the University of Calgary.
Ben has a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a concentration in media industries and institutions, from Carleton University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of King’s College.
He has bylines in CTV News, LinkedIn News, Yahoo Finance Canada, the Chronicle Herald, The Canadian Press and the Star Halifax.
He speaks both English and French.
