LOUISVILE, Ky. - Canadian Patrick Anderson earned tournament MVP honours after leading the New York Rollin Kicks to a National Wheelchair Basketball Association title.
Anderson, from Fergus, Ont., scored 26 of his 32 points in the first half, while Montreal's David Eng added 22 points, in New York's 65-53 win over the Dallas Wheelchair Mavericks on Sunday.
Eng was named a first team all-star.
The Rollin Knicks went undefeated in the tournament with wins over the RIC Hornets (73-41), the San Diego Hornets (74-35), and the Milwaukee Bucks (70-61) in the semifinal.
Anderson and Eng were both members of the Canadian men's wheelchair team that went undefeated at the London 2012 Paralympics to capture their third gold medal in four Paralympic Games.
