Two people are facing charges in connection with an assault and stabbing on Friday morning.

Officers were called to Leif Erickson Place around 9 a.m. Friday for a domestic disturbance, Saskatoon police said in a news release.

At the home, officers spoke to a 36-year-old woman who they described as intoxicated. She told them she was assaulted by a man she knew, who took off before police arrived.

That man was later tracked down at a hospital, where he was found suffering from a stab wound, police said.

Both were arrested after being treated. The woman faces an aggravated assault charge, and the man, 28, is charged with assault.
