Saskatoon firefighters respond to early morning fire

Saskatoon fire crews responded to an early morning fire on Saturday.

The fire department says crews were called to a garage fire at the 1800 block of Easthill at around 3:31 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to observe heavy smoke and flames coming from the detached garage.

They advanced hose lines to apply water and set up fans to clear smoke from the house.

The fire department says all occupants were evacuated and no one was injured.

As of 5:12 a.m., the fire had been completely extinguished, but a fire investigator was on scene to conduct an examination to identify the cause, origin, and damage estimate.
