Ukrainian Hall fire deemed arson, Regina police investigating

A recent fire that damaged the home of the Ukrainian National Federation (UNF) in Regina was the result of arson, according to police.

In an update Friday morning, police revealed an investigation by the Regina Fire and Protective Services found the fire was intentionally set.

As a result, arson investigators with Regina police have taken up the case.

The blaze, which heavily damaged the UNF building located at 1737 St. John Street, broke out on the morning of Saturday, June 13.

Fire crews responded and reportedly found flames on the building’s second floor and roof. No one was injured in the fire.

Investigators are calling on the public for help identifying the people in three photos released Friday.

Anyone with information that could aid investigators is asked to contact Regina police or Crime Stoppers.
