Two people are facing an array of charges after evidence of drug trafficking was discovered during a traffic stop late last week in Regina.

On Friday, March 7, just before 8 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the area of 8th Avenue and McIntosh Street in West Regina.

Police discovered the driver had a suspended license while the passenger was found to be in breach of conditions.

The two occupants were arrested shortly after.

A 28-year-old man faces two counts of trafficking a scheduled substance, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of the proceeds of crime, and two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.

A 31-year-old woman faces two counts of trafficking a scheduled substance, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon in addition to the possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

The pair made their first appearance on these charges in provincial court on Monday.
