Teen, two men facing gun related charges after Regina police sent to weapons call

A 17-year-old and two men are facing a lengthy list of firearm related charges after Regina police were called to a weapons offence on Sunday morning.

Around 9 a.m. officers were sent to the 4600 block of 4th Avenue, a news release said.

A short time later an associated vehicle was located, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted near 4th Avenue where three people were arrested, according to the release.

Regina police said two guns were found inside the vehicle during a search.

As a result, a 29-year-old man from Biggar, Sask. a 32-year-old man from Regina and 17-year-old teenager also from Regina, who were all inside the vehicle, were arrested.

The three are facing charges that include unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, carless storage of a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm.

Regina police said the 17-year-old was also charged with identity fraud.

All three made court appearances on Monday, Regina police said.
