Sask. RCMP share video of business fire in Leader

RCMP have released surveillance footage from the Oct. 26 fire in Leader, hoping the suspect or dark SUV, possibly a Jeep, can be identified.

Saskatchewan RCMP have released footage related to a suspicious fire that destroyed a business in Leader in October.

As part of the ongoing investigation, officers discovered video footage that shows a suspect arriving at the business, breaking in, and leaving in a dark-coloured SUV.

According to the RCMP, the vehicle strongly resembles a Jeep but may be a different brand SUV with a similar appearance.

The police service is now asking the public for help in identifying the suspect and SUV captured in the video.

On Oct. 26, at around 2:40 a.m., Leader RCMP received a report of a fire at a business on 1 Avenue in Leader. Officers and local fire crews responded.

The business was destroyed by the fire.

The investigation continues.
