One of Regina’s annual staples, Shake The Lake, is set to return this August – promising to showcase Canadian talent in the Queen City.
Being held on lakeside grounds outside the Conexus Arts Centre from August 22-23 – the event will feature an all-Canadian music lineup.
Organizers have vowed to freeze prices to 2024 levels to make the event more accessible.
Friday’s lineup will feature Regina’s School of Rock, Kitchner’s own Helix, Finger Eleven and Default – most well-known for its early 2000 hits such as “Wasting My Time” and “Deny.”
On Saturday, the festival will play host to Men Without Shame, The Kings (formally known as WhistleKing), The Stampeders, The Headstones and Juno award winning Trooper, known for classics such as “Raise a Little Hell” and “The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar.”
“This year we’re celebrating Canadian music and rolling back the pressure on pricing,” Conexus Arts Centre CEO Neil Donelly said in the announcement.
“We’re also starting to mix in ‘90s-era classic bands, which helps us reach a wider demographic while staying true to our roots.”
Shake The Lake will also feature a diverse food truck row, vendor village, and a games area for all ages.
Tickets are now available.
