Prior to politics, Bonk worked as a consultant in agricultural management and policy development in several countries.
Lyndon Dayman, Canadian Future Party
Lyndon Dayman has served as a volunteer emergency management officer for the town of Kipling and the RMs of Hazelwood and Kinglsey.
According to the party, Dayman has started multiple businesses, many of which saw him work with heavy machinery and equipment.
Aziz Mian, Liberal Party of Canada
Aziz Mian was acclaimed as the Liberal candidate on March 30.
Sheena Muirhead Koops, New Democratic Party
Sheena Muirhead Koops grew up south of Macoun, Sask. Her 30-year teaching career has seen her work in urban, rural, provincial, community and band schools.
Since 2018, she has worked as a sessional instructor at the University of Regina, where she is a PHD candidate.
Travis Mitchell Patron, Independent
Travis Patron, who founded the now-defunct Canadian Nationalist Party, will be running as an independent this time around. Patron had previously run for the same seat in 2019 and finished last among six other candidates.
His political aspirations haven’t been the only thing that’s made headlines. Patron has been convicted of several criminal offences, including assault, willfully promoting hate against Jewish people, criminal harassment and impersonating a police officer.
Remi Rheault, Green Party of Canada
Originally from Ontario, Remi Rheault moved to the Langenburg area in 2022. He is involved with several organizations in the housing and energy efficiency fields.
According to the party, Rheault is an advocate for the rights of seniors, veterans, spouses, a livable guaranteed income and is supportive of environmental protection.
