Britt Baumann, New Democratic Party
NDP candidate Britt Baumann is a veteran who served with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Finance Clerk, with her husband recently retiring as well.
She holds a PhD in public policy from the University of Saskatchewan, as well as an MA in sociology. She has worked as a policy analyst for several years, focusing on solutions involving resource development and First Nations land management.
Baumann is also passionate about increasing the availability of affordable housing, disability rights, and conserving Saskatchewan farmland.
Chey Craik, People’s Party of Canada
People’s Party of Canada candidate Chey Craik is a business owner, operator, and consultant who understands the importance of communication.
He has held several positions with a rail transportation company over almost 20 years, allowing him to connect with different people.
Craik was raised on his family farm in the RM of Moose Jaw and lives with his wife and two children.
Mike Gardiner, Green Party of Canada
As a Green Party candidate, Mike Gardiner has a passion for environmental sustainability and conservation, including restoring natural grasslands and wetlands.
He lives in Moose Jaw with his partner and two children and is currently completing his degree in social work at the University of Regina.
Gardiner is also passionate about equal rights and transparency in government.
Tabitha Mukamusoni, Liberal Party of Canada
Liberal candidate Tabitha Mukamusoni arrived in Canada in 2016 after being forced to flee East Africa due to risks from covering conflicts in Burundi as a correspondent.
She worked as a journalist and later became the director of a community French radio station in Gravelbourg, making sure the community had a platform.
Mukamusoni has also played a role in helping new immigrants integrate into the community and is committed to creating jobs, supporting local families, and small businesses.
Fraser Tolmie, Conservative Party of Canada
Prior to being elected as the MP for Moose Jaw – Lake Centre – Lanigan in 2021, Conservative Party candidate Fraser Tolmie served as the Mayor of Moose Jaw from 2016 to 2021.
He is passionate about aviation and has served as an Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He also holds an honours degree in history.
