Four people facing charges following months long drug trafficking investigation

Four people are facing charges following a two-month drug trafficking investigation in Regina.

The Regina Police Service (RPS) Drug Unit executed search warrants between March 13 and April 22 on two vehicles, as well as residences on the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue and the 0 block of Centennial Street.

As a result of the searches, police say they seized $10,876 in cash and approximately 2.43 kilograms of cocaine.

A 23-year-old man from India, a 25-year-old woman from Saskatoon, a 21-year-old woman from Regina, and a 34-year-old man from Mississauga, Ont., are all charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

The 23-year-old man and 21-year-old woman are also charged with trafficking cocaine.

RPS says the 34-year-old man was later arrested and charged a second time in a separate incident connected to the investigation.

He is additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, flight from a peace officer, and dangerous operation of a conveyance.
